The Lord Gives Wisdom (Proverbs 2:6)
I don’t think I have ever been more exhausted in my life than I have been for the past two weeks. Homeschooling the kids, feeding, clothing, and just caring for them all day is a lot of work! Add this running a business when I can and caring for my wife and I am very tired.
It is good though. I have a deep appreciation for any mother that wishes to stay home and raise their children and homeschool them. It is like working two full-time jobs. How my wife did this for the past 12 years is simply amazing to me. Thank you, honey, for a job very well done.
I am so glad that Amy is getting stronger with each day. This week we head back to the hospital for her appointment with radiology and to get her in the schedule for the daily treatments. She is in much better spirits and is eating well now. Her appetite is back and that is really helping. She needs her strength up to go through the daily treatments.
I praise God that we had this past week
to get the kids ready for their first day of school. They are excited to be going to the local Christian school, but also a little nervous. They have friends there, so they’ll do well.
It seems crazy that it has only been 3-4 weeks since we found out that Amy has brain cancer. It feels like months have passed by. Time slows down when a family is walking through this, not to mention the person battling cancer. She is such a courageous woman. I am so very proud of my wife and everything she has done so far to fight. I am a very blessed man to have such a beautiful wonderful wife and amazing children.
Here is my daily verse that I hold onto.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
There is so much truth in these verses. There is so much in the
