January 1st, 2019 – The Shocking News

On January 1st, I took my wife Amy to the emergency room because she had not been feeling well and had some severe symptoms. We arrived and immediately she was checked out and they determined that a CT Scan should be done.

A World Upside Down

That is when our world turned upside down. We have been a couple for the past 20 years and have been husband and wife for the past 15 years. We have three beautiful, wonderful children.  My wife’s only dream in life was to be the best mother she could possibly be to our babies. So, for the past 12 years, she has faithfully, diligently researched, planned and taught our children through homeschooling education and life skills. At 42 years old her hope has always been to raise wonderful productive children that loved life and loved family.  This came to a dramatic halt on January 1st when she was diagnosed with a large diffused cancerous brain tumor. She has lost her ability to drive and teach our children. She is fighting for her life to continue that journey of teaching and loving her babies.

We are in the start of this journey, but already I have seen the impact of cancer in everything in our lives. In the next few weeks, we will have to drive every day for 5 to 6 weeks and hour each way for her radiation treatments. Our desire has always been if she couldn’t home school our children, that they would go to the local Christian School.

The Challenges

The challenges that we face through all of this are paying for education, increased gas costs, and increased medical costs that insurance doesn’t cover. As her husband, trying to run a small business and care for my wife and children at the same time has been very challenging. My priority is to care for my wife and children first. She is my bride, my best friend, the mother of my children and I just want to help her in any way that I can.  Cancer is horrible to anyone and it would be great to that we as people could come up with a cure for cancer to eradicate it. But it is here and when a loved one gets cancer, it changes not just their life, but their whole families life forever.

Our goal as a family right now is to care for my wife to help her get the treatments that she needs, pray for a miracle that she’ll be healed from this brain cancer so she can watch her children grown up. That is her only wish, is to survive this to watch her kids grow up to be adults and love them as their mother. So, I ask if you have an extra 5, 10, 20 dollars, please consider helping us raise enough money to pay for medical bills, school expenses and travel expenses. I don’t need a lot, just enough to help us get through this time and hope and pray that she is healed through these treatments to see her kids grow up. Thank you so very much for even considering in helping us! I pray that God would heal her and bless you for even considering helping.

Thank you, Fred
